Game Server Developer (Engine / Back End)

Summary

The role of Game Engine/Server Developer is highly demanding and varied, with a focus on expanding our client's slots portfolio. The candidate will manage, maintain and extend current slots' engine throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle, from game requirements, development, and testing. This may be a Senior role, but we encourage you to apply if you are an ambitious, determined Mid-level slots developer.

Key Responsibilities

• Be the creator and technical architect of our games Server-side development, with its Java and Python code bases, while following our regulatory guidelines, policies, and procedures.

• Design and update new tools, features, and functionalities to expand game engine possibilities or to optimize their performance

• Design solutions that are scalable and maintainable

• Build new tools to expand our ability to create better games

• Work with mathematicians to balance the game server to a precise statistical outcome

• Help extend the server framework

• Analyse new product requirements and provide technical insights into the work required

• Participate in code reviews and game design

Essential Skills 

• Motivated, self-starter capable of multitasking

• Detail-oriented and an analytical thinker

• Disciplined and highly organized

• Endowed with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skill

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science / software engineering or equivalent experience coding with at least one object-oriented programming language (such as Java, Python, etc)

• Good understanding of OOP principals

• Good understanding of unit testing and integration testing

• Understanding of basic database operations

• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

• Skills in the Java Spring Framework

• 3 to 5 years' experience as a Java software developer

• iGaming experience is an asset
