Game Mathematician (Intern/Jr/Mid)

Summary

You enjoy calculating, designing and implementing mathematical concepts, which is the core of our games and a critical factor for success in our markets. You are a team-oriented person closely working and interacting with a development team producing online casino games, and you welcome sharing knowledge. Working with game designers, you will develop an aptitude for redesigning maths models to suit the UK market and enhancing the player experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Create maths models for games

• Support the server implementation

• Support the Product owner with data from the maths model/tests

• Analyse the game performance by creating reports and analysis

• Follow standards and best practices

Required Experiance

• Strong problem-solving skills / able to work/develop complex algorithms

• Knowledge of Statistics and Probability Theory

• Knowledge of Excel

• Knowledge of python or similar

• English – at least intermediate level

• Degree in mathematics, computer science or equivalent is a must-have

The successful candidate will

• Have a willingness to learn

• Be highly organized, able to prioritize workload effectively with attention to detail

• Build systems on an ‘expect failure’ principle, providing available/resilient systems

• Work in an agile way, providing visibility to work and outcomes

• Write clean code and follow coding guidelines and policies.

• Be able to communicate effectively whether talking to someone technical or non-technical, both internally and with development partners

• Have good problem-solving and analytical skills to spot errors and diagnose problems
